The 2013 Hospital Hero Awards are scheduled for Nov. 8, at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles. Produced by National Health Foundation (NHF), this annual media event honors health care professionals dedicated to patient care and those who help create miracles for patients. It is an opportunity for hospitals to recognize the outstanding achievements that occur at the front line of care throughout the region.

The Hospital Hero Awards honor outstanding direct patient care that goes above and beyond the call of duty. Focusing on actions within the last 12 months, Hospital Heroes will be recognized from member hospitals in the HASC region, including Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, Santa Barbara and Ventura counties. All members of the hospital family (medical, technology, clinical, administrative, volunteers) are eligible for the award.

Ads honoring the nominees can be purchased for the event tribute journal. Members can also elect to sponsor the event. All proceeds will benefit NHF, a tax-exempt organization dedicated to improving health care access for the underserved.
