January 15, 2019

Persons experiencing homelessness can face significant obstacles in accessing health services including basic health screenings and immunizations. SB 1152 requires hospitals to develop a written homeless patient discharge planning policy that coordinates services and referrals with regional social services agencies, medical care and county behavioral health services. This document is aimed at identifying specific communicable disease interventions and discharge planning strategies conforming to the requirements of SB 1152.

Inland Region CHNA

Inland Region CHNA

May 26, 2016 Megan Barajas

The Hospital Association of Southern California (HASC) served as the catalyst to bring hospitals, health systems, and other key stakeholders together to compile an extensive Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) for the Inland Empire, which includes Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. Working as a cohesive group to gather and analyze data for various service areas was vital.

Hospital Economic Impact Study – San Bernardino County Regional Results
Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation

February 27, 2012 January 2012

The health care sector has grown over the past decade. Comprised of several inter-related industries—including ambulatory health care services, hospitals, health care centers, doctors’ offices, laboratories, and nursing and residential care facilities—the industry as a whole provides access to a variety of vital health care services, employing thousands of workers, and generating significant revenues and tax dollars.

As our population grows, ages, and as medical advances extend our productive lives, the health care sector is likely to be a driver of economic activity going forward.

Review the San Bernardino County highlights from “Hospital Industry in Southern California Economic Analysis” conducted by the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation. You can also download the complete report.
