As of early this week, space remained for Thursday’s Leadership & Charge Nurse: Creating a Culture of Safety course. The class begins at 8 a.m. and runs to 5 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 27 in the Moseley-Salvatori Conference Center at Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles.

Registration starts at 7:30 a.m. and can be completed the morning of the event.

The course’s objective is to increase safety in health care settings by improving communication between supervisory nurses, nurses, physicians and others in hospitals. Issues covered include hourly rounding, effective shift reporting, simulation drills, de-briefing after incidents and providing feedback to staff.
