Discounted Early Registration Rate Available for California Physician Leadership Program
Registration is taking place for the California Physician Leadership Program, a customized program designed by academics, medical executives and hospital associations to advance California physicians’ ability to navigate the increasingly complex, often ambiguous, health care landscape. The comprehensive certificate program supplements clinical expertise with strategic leadership skills and enables physicians to take charge of the business of medicine.
The program leverages the University of Southern California’s top rated Marshall School of Business Faculty, in partnership with the California hospital associations, to deliver curriculum in effective leadership strategies, practical information about the ever-changing health care delivery system, and core business principles. Participants will have opportunities to network with colleagues to build team leadership, interpersonal communication skills and collaborative problem-solving competencies. The program will culminate with a group project emphasizing practical applications of the program’s concepts to relevant issues and problems faced in health care delivery every day.
Participants will meet two days per month over a span of seven months to maximize learning of new skills and knowledge while respecting career demands.
This exclusive program is limited to 40 participants, who are eligible to earn up to 105 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ after completion of the program. Register by June 15 for the next session, Sept. 15, 2014 to April 18, 2015, and the price is $9,500 per person. After this date, the price per person is $9,900.
The program is a collaborative effort of the California Hospital Association’s Center for Hospital Medical Executives, Hospital Council of Northern and Central California, Hospital Association of Southern California, Hospital Association of San Diego and Imperial Counties, the USC Marshall School of Business, Executive Education and the Keck School of Medicine.
