Fall LEAD Academy Dates Announced
The LEAD Academy training dates are now scheduled for fall 2013. Attended by physicians, nurses, IT staff, lab technicians, human resources, case management and more, LEAD’s dynamic six-session, 12-module training experience attracts a range of health care professionals interested in building effective leadership skills.
Designed to empower recently hired, newly appointed or previously untrained health care leaders to better understand and use their strengths, each LEAD session focuses on different skills leaders today need to meet the challenges of the industry—communication, conflict resolution, coaching team members and employees to better performance, business and finance, and organizational skills.
Respected trainer Pam Cunningham will lead each interactive, small-group session. A Six Sigma Black Belt skilled at blending the technical with the human side of high performance, she has advised executives at numerous health care organizations on how to quickly and effectively resolve various organizational issues.
LEAD Academy sessions provide a safe environment to practice newly learned skills and align work goals and actions to support the broader vision of the organization. Specific program focus areas include:
- Self-development
- Supporting the development of others
- Managing and developing a successful organization
Fall sessions are scheduled for Sept. 13, Oct. 4, Oct. 25, Nov. 8, Nov. 22 and Dec. 6 at Verdugo Hills Hospital, 1812 Verdugo Boulevard, Glendale.
Space still remains for the last Spring 2013 session, Aug. 16. Contact Karen Ochoa, (213) 538-0765 or kochoa@hasc.org for more information.
