HASC announces a new business partnership with H-Source, Inc., to connect hospitals throughout the region in an effort to drive down health care costs while supporting increased sustainability.

H-Source is a web-based, private marketplace that allows members to buy/sell/transfer supplies and capital equipment with each other in the United States and globally. Members can conduct secure transactions within Integrated Delivery Networks, Group Purchasing Organizations, the complete H-Source network, or customize their own group of hospitals using built-in filters.

The H-Source platform has been developed to:

• Maximize revenue by selling un-needed or overstocked inventory.
• Provide an access point for greater flexibility in purchasing options.
• Establish new strategic hospital alliances promoting shared services.
• Increase operational efficiencies in hospital supply chain.
• Prevent products from entering landfills before final use, supporting a greener economy.
