HASC to Host Forum on Improving Critical Care Sept. 14
An informational forum on improving critical care in Southern California and the potential role of tele-ICU technology in community hospitals will be held Wednesday, Sept. 14.
Sponsored by the California HealthCare Foundation (CHCF), the forum is designed to help hospitals:
- Identify critical care challenges faced in Los Angeles, Riverside and San Bernardino Counties
- Discuss emerging evidence on the clinical and financial impact of tele-ICU technology
- Evaluate the potential role of tele-ICU technology as a regional mechanism to expand intensivist physician coverage, improve outcomes and efficiency of ICU care
- Discuss regional developments in critical care
Presenters will include experts from the New England Health Care Institute (NEHI), a national health policy research institute focused on enabling innovation, and the Center for Connected Health Policy based in Sacramento.
Attendees can select from two event locations:
- HASC Los Angeles Office, 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.
- Riverside Community Hospital’s Health Education Center, 4445 Magnolia Avenue, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Parking and light refreshments will be available at both
locations.
