Hospital Representatives Attend Patient & Family Centered Care Conference
More than 250 nurses, hospital administrators, patients, families and allied health professionals representing 55 hospitals gathered in Long Beach for the third annual Patient and Family Centered Care (PFCC) Conference on June 22.
This conference, hosted by National Health Foundation, PFCC Partners, Inc. and HASC, provided an opportunity to learn, develop and share skills in Patient and Family Centered Care. Throughout the day, attendees heard from national experts in the field, including Jim Conway, Principal of Pascal Metrics, and Martha Hayward, Lead for Public and Patient Engagement at Institute for Healthcare Improvement, as well as from hospitals implementing PFCC within their facilities.
A broad range of topics were addressed, from how to establish patient advisory councils, to strategies to change culture to reflect PFCC philosophy. The conference planning committee is grateful to this year’s Champion Sponsors, Anthem Blue Cross and Lucile Packard Foundation for Children’s Health, as well as to all the conference sponsors for their generous support.
