Hospital Wellness Conference Set for Aug. 4 in Los Angeles
The 1st Annual Hospital Wellness Conference, sponsored by HASC and the Corporate Health & Wellness Association (CHWA), is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 4 at the California Endowment in Los Angeles.
This intensive one-day event will explore various case studies from leading employers that have succeeded in their wellness initiatives. Educational sessions and networking will focus on corporate wellness, value-based benefit design, and reducing health care costs through health and wellness promotion.
The conference will target the following learning objectives:
- Strategies to help improve employees’ health habits
- Ways to reduce health care and workers’ compensation costs
- Effective ways of communicating your organization’s health and wellness initiative to employees
- Approaches that will drive employee participation and reduce absenteeism and turnover
- Methods to evaluate the effectiveness of your organization’s health and wellness program
The conference is intended for hospital and health system directors; human resources executives; chief nurse executives; senior health care executives; wellness managers; and benefits specialists.
The program will take place 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Program cost, which includes continental breakfast, lunch and handouts, is as follows: $200 early bird rate (by July 5), $198 per additional colleague from the same facility (3 or more), $220 HASC/CHWA members, and $300 for non-members.
This program has been submitted to the HR Certification Institute
for recertification credits.
