LA County Supervisors Approve Nomination of Gerald Clute on EMS Commission 
      
    
        
        
        The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors approved the HASC nomination of Gerald Clute (CEO, California Medical Center) to replace Dennis Lee (CEO, Methodist Hospital) on the Los Angeles County EMS Commission. Since July 2009, Clute has served as president/chief executive officer at California Hospital Medical Center. In addition, he has more than 36 years of health care experience, 20 of those years in acute care hospital administration.
  The Emergency Medical Systems Commission serves as the lead
  agency for the emergency medical services system and is
  responsible for coordinating all system participants in its
  jurisdiction, encompassing both public and private sectors. The
  16-member Commission holds an advisory role to the Board of
  Supervisors and director of Department of Health Services
  regarding county policies, programs and standards for emergency
  medical and paramedic services in the county. This includes
  acquiring and analyzing data necessary to measure the quality of
  emergency services.
