May Statewide Conference in Sacramento Will Focus on Eliminating Serious Surgical Safety Events
Hear from the California Department of Public Health, the Institute for Population Health Improvement, and the Hospital Quality Institute at an exclusive conference, May 14-15 in Sacramento, Eliminating Serious Patient Safety Events in Surgical and Procedural Areas: A Statewide Conference and Call to Action for California Hospitals.
Conference goals include identifying strategies to implement systemic change and prevent serious, reportable adverse events in surgical and procedural areas; discussing what has been learned through mandatory adverse event reporting; and evaluating opportunities to improve the reporting system so that it better aligns with hospitals’ patient safety improvement efforts.
Target audience includes surgical service directors, chief nursing officers, executive-level hospital administrators, clinicians and administrators working in surgical and other procedural areas (including obstetrics/gynecology, cardiac catheterization labs, and other non-operating room settings); and patient safety/quality improvement professionals.
