Member Value Statement Highlights Accomplishments, Returns
The 2012 Member Value Statement: A Report of Your Dues Investment is now available online.
Each year the Member Value Statement recounts the successes of the California Hospital Association (CHA) and HASC in moving forward the needs, values and goals of member hospitals. Detailed are tangible results of member dues investments, including the hospital savings and revenue generated from association-led advocacy, programs and initiatives over the last year.
The 2012 report highlights both issues of statewide concern and of local interest. State-level issues include the six- and 30-month hospital fee programs, workers’ compensation pertaining to hospital-acquired infections, licensing violation penalties, food and water storage, and nursing workforce issues. Regional accomplishments from the period include the transition of dual eligibles to Medicare, health information exchanges, recuperative care, Patient Safety First, leadership training and technological advancements for ReddiNet. The organizations’ efforts resulted in more than $150 generated for every dollar of dues paid.
