Victor Valley Community Hospital is Purchased for $33.8 Million; ICEMA Names New Administrator
An affiliate of Riverside-based KPC Group has purchased Victor Valley Community Hospital for $33.8 million. The 101-bed medical facility declared bankruptcy in 2010. Victor Valley Community Hospital has filed for approval of the deal with the state attorney general’s office.
KPC Group will convert the hospital into a for-profit entity. “On behalf of the KPC Group, we are very much looking forward to the acquisition of the Victor Valley hospital,” said Bill Thomas, executive vice president and general counsel for the buyer. “We believe it plays an important role in providing health care to the Victor Valley community. It will be our mission to not only stabilize but improve the delivery of quality health care to the High Desert community.”
