As part of the Charge Nurse Education Series, Emotional Intelligence will be the topic of the April 11 Leadership Skills for the Registered Nurse session.The program will challenge nurse leaders to understand their own emotional intelligence (EI), as well as how to apply emotionally intelligent traits to key nursing leadership skills. Learn about emotionally intelligent traits and how to apply them in order to ensure effective communication with all members of the health care team. Coaching and mentoring others to better performance will also be addressed.

The series takes place at Quiet Cannon Conference Center in Montebello, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
