Patient Safety First Event on June 10 Focuses on Physician Leaders
Physician champions make all the difference in our QI Program efforts. On Wednesday, June 10, the Southern California Patient Safety First (PSF) Collaborative meeting focuses purely on these physician champions, and includes five Category 1 CME credits.
With every PSF hospital bringing at least one MD to the conference, can you imagine the empowering energy in that room? Some 60-70 physician leaders, both formal leaders (chiefs and chairmen) and informal leaders (passionate about advancing patient safety) will be equipped and energized to engage many more of their peers to practice as a team, with attention to evidence based guidelines, for increased quality and decreased medical errors.
Topics include:
- Don’t Shoot the Messenger: Being an MD Champion for HAI Prevention
- The Art and Science of Medicine Meets Quality Improvement
- Ordinary Heroes: Why We Became Doctors
- Roadmap to Becoming an Effective Physician Leader
- What Does Teamwork Look Like in the OR? What Does It Sound Like?
- Making a Difference Together: Anthem’s Current Collaborative Initiatives in California
- Physicians Leading the Way
