Space is still available for the 2012 Health Care Provider Wellness Conference, June 14-15, 2012, at the Hilton Los Angeles / Universal City.

Featuring local health care leaders as well as representatives from numerous locations including the western and southern United States, Saudi Arabia and Ghana, the conference will focus on implementing employee wellness programs in health care settings and methods for evaluating their effectiveness. This year, participants can look forward to presentations from prominent wellness leaders like Diana Bontá, PhD, president and CEO of The California Wellness Foundation; Dee Edington, PhD, director of the Health Management Center; Dr. Toni Yancey, co-director for the UCLA Kaiser Permanente Center for Health Equity in the School of Public Health; Dr. Rajiv Kumar, founder of ShapeUp; and many others.

HASC launched the wellness conference in response to the American Hospital Association’s 2011 report, “A Call to Action: Creating a Culture of Health.” The report called for health care organizations to lead the way in designing and implementing a culture of health and wellness among their employees and in the communities.
