Registration Now Open for 2015-2016 California Physician Leadership Program
Due to the success of the inaugural California Physician Leadership Program, the hospital associations are pleased to announce that a second cohort will begin in September and registration is now open for the 2015 – 2016 sessions. The California Physician Leadership Program is an interactive training course designed to advance California physicians’ ability to navigate the increasingly complex, often ambiguous, health care landscape.
The inaugural program, which concludes in April, brought together physician leaders and administrators from throughout the state to collaborate on issues facing the future of health care. Current participants praise the program objectives, networking opportunities, and quality of faculty presentations and interactions:
The program brings together the University of Southern California’s top rated Marshall School of Business faculty, in partnership with all four California hospital associations and health policy experts, to deliver curriculum in effective leadership strategies, the ever-changing health care delivery system, and core business principles. The comprehensive certificate program will culminate with a project emphasizing practical applications and collaborative problem-solving to address challenges and the advancement of core initiatives.
Continuing medical education credits will be provided by the USC Keck School of Medicine. Physicians can earn up to 105 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. This exclusive program is limited to 40 participants and is open to all California physicians and medical executives. All sessions take place on or near the USC campus.
The program runs from Sept. 18, 2015 – April 23, 2016 and is delivered two days per month on a Friday and Saturday. Tuition is $ 13,500 for individuals registering by May 15; rates increase to $ 15,000 after that date.
