SCAHRM Endorses HASC Security and Safety Drill
HASC is pleased to announce the Southern California Association for Healthcare Risk Management (SCAHRM) has endorsed the 2013 HASC Security and Safety Conference: Active Shooter Drill, to be held March 19, at the LAC + USC Medical Center.
The conference will include dramatization of an active shooter event in both emergency room and office settings. Participants will collaborate with law enforcement and risk analysis experts to develop a plan and effective policies focused on survival and recovery from such devastating events.
The drill is expected to draw more than 200 hospital and community stakeholders including security, emergency room and nursing staff, human resources, risk managers, social workers, and administrative personnel with an interest in minimizing the effects of workplace violence or an active shooter event.
SCAHRM, affiliated with the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management, provides continuing education, networking opportunities and professional enhancements within the health care industry for its membership that includes risk managers, patient safety personnel, attorneys, insurance and claim management professionals, and quality management professionals.
