Space Still Available for Hospital Disaster Management Training Dec. 2-3 in Los Angeles
Does your hospital need training on hospital surge capacity management for natural disasters and chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosives (CBRNE) incidents? Join us for Hospital Disaster Management Training, an in-depth two-day session that is a product of the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services Emergency Medical Services Agency’s Disaster Resource Center Program. HASC provides administrative program support.
This course on Dec. 2-3 has a broad approach, with both a clinical and non-clinical target audience that includes but is not limited to hospital administration, physicians, nurses, emergency care technicians, safety, security, facilities, mental health, ancillary, legal/risk management, human resources, educators, clinic and first receiver staff.
Participants will learn how to move beyond awareness and focus on operational strategies. At the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Identify triage priorities in disaster patients.
- Perform a role in the hospital command center and emergency department during disaster drill.
- Describe the health care facility’s role in a disaster.
