$100 Million Settlement Deadline Is Dec. 15 – Other Opportunities Continue Throughout the Year
The Hospital Association of Southern California is pleased to offer a Class Action Settlement Recovery Service (SRS) through its strategic partnership with Managed Care Advisory Group, LLC (MCAG). MCAG has distributed over $225 million to thousands of customers as a result of its services.
This week, MCAG has a Thursday, Dec. 15 deadline to enroll and become eligible for a portion of a $100 million settlement connected to the antibiotic sold under the trade name Cipro. Additional settlements can bring revenue to facilities and systems throughout the year, however. Once an organization is signed up with MCAG, no additional action is needed to become eligible for new settlement payouts.
If you are one of the many member hospitals already enrolled in this service, you do not need to enroll again. MCAG will reach out to you directly for these opportunities.
Current Settlement Opportunities include:
- California Cipro Cases I & II – $100 million – deadline: Dec. 15: A hospital’s share of settlement funds will depend on the amount of Cipro purchased between Jan. 8, 1997 and Dec. 31, 2005. MCAG has already filed on behalf of many California hospitals and businesses into Case I, and the payments have been significant.
- Blood Reagent Antitrust Litigation – $22 Million: Any hospitals that purchased Blood Reagents directly from Ortho or Immucore from November 2000 to October 2015 are eligible to receive funds.
- Lithium Ion Battery Settlement – $19 Million: Hospitals that purchased Lithium Ion Battery Products including, but not limited to computers, mobile phones, digital cameras/audio players, and camcorders can receive cash from the settlement.
- Payment Card Interchange Fee Settlement – $5+ billion: Commonly referred to as the “Visa/MasterCard Settlement”, has billions available to hospitals who accepted Visa or MasterCard payments from customers in the U.S. anytime from January 2004 to Nov. 28, 2012.
MCAG has a convenient way to help HASC members with the claims process.
The enrollment process is fast, easy, and has no upfront fees. You will enroll in the SRS directly with MCAG; however, HASC members will receive a discounted contingency fee of 20 percent, versus MCAG’s standard fee of 25 percent.
Signing up is easy:
1. Click here to visit MCAG’s website for HASC members
2. Click the “Enroll Now” button in the center of the page
3. Enter in your business information and that’s it!
Sincerely,
