HASC mourns the loss of long-serving regional vice president Anthony Abbate, who retired from the association in 2003 and passed away on Oct. 4. Also in this edition of HASC Briefs, Dr. Bennet Omalu, Dr. Abraham Verghese, Jeff Goldsmith and C. Duane Dauner are confirmed as April Annual Meeting speakers in Santa Barbara.

Golf Classic Tees Off Monday, Nov. 14

The HASC Charity Golf Classic at Rancho Cucamonga’s Red Hill Country Club will take place on Monday, Nov. 14.

Funds raised at the tournament benefit National Health Foundation’s work supporting underserved communities. To date, the autumn event has contributed more than $600,000 towards the foundation’s mission.

Participants will experience Red Hill Country Club’s 1920s-era course by architect George C. Thomas, Jr.
