By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Health & Medicine Week Stevenson has worked at Children’s Hospital since 1983 serving as a pediatric nurse for more than 25 years, and in emergency preparedness for more than 15 years. As the manager of the pediatric disaster resource training center at Children’s Hospital, she has worked with the L.A. County Emergency Medical Services Agency and served on work groups focusing on various disaster-related topics.When Children’s Hospital moved into their new building in 2011, Stevenson developed a detailed plan for the hospital to coordinate this transfer, including moving ICU and Medical/Surgical patients (see also Children’s Hospital Los Angeles).
