Nov. 14’s HASC Charity Golf Classic raised close to $40,000 for National Health Foundation’s work addressing health-related disparities in underserved communities.
Over the past decade, the fundraiser has brought in more than $600,000 for NHF programs like Pathway Recuperative Care — which provides housing for homeless patients upon their release from acute care. Other NHF initiatives include Health Academy, which teaches students about nutrition, and a Teen Parenting program.
This year’s fundraiser took place at Red Hill Country Club, at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains in Rancho Cucamonga. While not long by course standards, its greens are tricky and guarded by a number of pines and sycamores. The Nov. 14 event saw temperatures in the mid 80s.
