LEAD Academy Returns to Sacramento on April 27

Enrollment is now open for the 2020 LEAD Academy leadership course in Sacramento, which runs April through September. The intensive, six-day, 12-module course is presented by the Hospital Association of Southern California in partnership with Hospital Council — Northern & Central California.

The series opens on Monday, April 27 at the Tsakopoulos Library Galleria in Sacramento. Subsequent sessions take place at the Tsakopoulos Library (June 26, July 17 and Aug. 28) and at the State Building & Construction Trades Council of California, also in Sacramento (May 14 and Sept. 24).

LEAD Academy topics include the following (each pair of modules correspond to one day’s program):

  • From Peer, to Manager, to Leader and Leading People Differently

  • Leadership Communication Best Practices and Coaching Employees to Higher Performance

  • Leading Others Through Change and Managing Performance

  • Planning and Running Effective Meetings and Building and Leading Effective Teams

  • Resolving Interpersonal Conflict and Organizing Your Time, Work and Priorities

  • Why and How of Organizational Policies and Business and Finance for Today’s Health Care Leader

LEAD Academy provides a safe environment to practice newly-learned skills and align work goals and actions to support the broader vision of the organization. Engaging activities guide participants through the process of understanding different leadership styles and mastering the challenges of being a leader.
