We encourage you to invite trustee leaders, medical staff and your executive team. Groups of five or more from the same hospital or corporate headquarters may register one member on a complimentary basis.
The meeting’s breakout session speaker list has been updated. The following industry leaders are confirmed to present on the following timely topics:
-
What’s Next for Medi-Cal? – Brad
Gilbert and John Baackes of Inland Empire Health Plan and L.A.
Care Health Plan join Doug McKeever of Covered California for
an informed discussion on the future of California’s Medicaid
program. Topics include addressing health disparities and
population health, and the next generation of ACOs.
-
Saving Lives and Reducing Costs by Curing
Sepsis – Dr. Andre Vovan, creator of a new
approach to limiting sepsis in facilities, accompanies Rick
Afable and Julianne Morath for an examination of evidence-based
sepsis programs that get results. Improved sepsis outcomes
decrease sepsis mortality and shorten hospital stays, which can
improve overall patient health while reducing health care
costs.
-
Span of Control: Clinical, Business Impacts and
Solutions – Jim Finkelstein, Bernard Klein,
Theresa Murphy and Jerry Spicer go to the heart of an issue
that’s critical for job retention, job satisfaction, quality
and patient care, and morale in the nursing field and other job
sectors.
-
Physician Alignment: Economics and Lessons
Learned – Steve Valentine and Arby Nahapetian
discuss Adventist Health’s journey towards a physicians’
network that provides resources, training, feedback and
supportive professional connections.
- Data, Disease and Differences: Tools to Improve a Community’s Health – Kevin Barnett, Dora Barilla, Kathryn Bazylewicz, Rick Rawson and Ron Werft outline Cottage Health’s push to move the dial on community health. Focus will be on five emerging priorities: access to care, chronic conditions, behavioral health, food insecurity and housing insecurity.
