HASC members have full access to the class action settlement recovery service provided by Managed Care Advisory Group, or MCAG. MCAG represents over 1,400 hospitals and has recovered more than $200 million on behalf of health care organizations from previous settlements.  

While MCAG is monitoring several class action settlements, the following is a significant opportunity and the claim filing deadline of Nov. 5 is approaching fast:

• The BCBS Subscriber Settlement has a $2.67B fund for employers who used Blue Cross Blue Shield for their benefit plans. It reimburses a portion of premiums paid by eligible Fully Insured Groups back to 2008, or administrative fees paid by eligible Self-Funded Accounts back to 2015. The claim filing deadline is Friday, Nov. 5.

MCAG charges a contingent fee of 20 percent of any recoveries obtained for your organization. They do not create class actions — they continually search for class actions that have already settled and have funds available for their clients — allowing you to focus on your business.
