Associate Member Lunch Draws More Than 30 Members
More than 30 HASC associate members attended the annual Associate Member Lunch at HASC’s downtown Los Angeles location on Oct. 17.
The program began with a welcome from George W. Greene, HASC’s President/CEO. Greene expressed his appreciation for associate members and their willingness to support member hospitals and the association. He also highlighted the association’s involvement in collaborative solutions to the issue of homelessness throughout the association’s boundaries.
Marty Gallegos, senior vice president, policy development and communications, presented a summary of important public policy initiatives at the federal, state and local levels.
Mark Gamble, senior vice president/COO outlined Communities Lifting Communities, a partnership recently launched by HASC, HC2 Strategies, Inc. and the Public Health Alliance of Southern California. Working together, the initiative seeks to reduce health disparities and improve community health across Southern California.
“We’re excited to begin working collaboratively with regional clusters of hospitals, public health departments and other community partners to conduct community health assessments, set priorities and implement specific programs to significantly improve health conditions for residents and communities across the region,” Gamble said.
