Multiple employees at Adventist Health Feather River Hospital are likely without homes after the deadly Camp Fire swept over Northern California’s Butte County this week.
Tamara Ferguson, a nurse at the damaged facility, said ”most of my friends and coworkers in Paradise, (Calif.)” lost their homes. Ferguson herself was lucky — sharing space at her family’s property with others less fortunate.
Closer to home, San Fernando Valley’s West Hills Hospital and Medical Center and Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center were partially evacuated due to smoke from the Woolsey Fire — with an unknown number of workers more directly impacted.
To support them, operator HCA Hospital Corporation of America is gathering donations via its HCA Hope Fund. Please click here to add your support.
In the north of the state, Adventist Health is collecting support for its affected workers here.
CHA and HASC remained in contact with OSHPD officials and facility operators throughout the recent wildfires, pledging assistance now and through the recovery and rebuilding process.
