BRN to Attend Dec. 1 Nursing Advisory Council Meeting
The California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) is scheduled to attend HASC’s next Nursing Advisory Council Meeting on Dec. 1. Three guests, including the agency’s executive director, will address member concerns and educate the council on BRN’s intervention and probation programs.
During recent HASC member education sessions and at a meeting with the Nursing Advisory Council, concerns and knowledge gaps were identified related to these programs. The group set to attend on Dec. 1 will address these.
Guests include:
- Dr. Joseph Morris, BRN Executive Director
- Don Walker, BRN Intervention Program Manager
- Virginia Matthews, Project Manager with Maximus (BRN’s administrative vendor)
Member hospitals are invited to share feedback on their experiences with BRN intervention or probation processes ahead of the meeting. To do so, please contact Teri Hollingsworth.
HASC’s Nursing Advisory Council works to advance effective nursing administration across the region. The council also provides a forum for nursing issues, promotes educational programs and seeks to reinforce the professional image of nurses and nursing.
