bttn. Shares COVID-19 Test Kit Availability Trends
HASC Endorsed Business Partner bttn. is a wholesale medical supply marketplace that provides HASC members value-purchasing opportunities for critical operational items like PPE and testing kits.
This week, HASC shares a note from bttn. on tracking trends, its outlooks regarding testing supplies (and more), and how customers can benefit from its services.
The national supply chain issues impacting many businesses, including health care, is no exception. bttn. sees major supply chain concerns around a few products, especially testing supplies. Abbott’s inventory and future production capacity was recently purchased by the federal government, making it harder for some providers to access testing supplies through traditional Abbott channels.
bttn.’s data analysis signals this will be an extended shortage. The firm also reports that online searches/traffic and purchases related to “COVID-19 testing” have ballooned approximately 3,000 percent week over week. This is likely due to the lack of testing alternatives, increase in cases and hospitalization trends.
To assist HASC members, bttn. has secured purchasing opportunities via multiple distributors. Some of these options are listed below. Please reach out directly to bttn. for pricing and/or samples.
- CareStart — Rapid antigen test
- BD — Reader required
- Cue Test — NAT (very good, samples available upon request)
- Lucira Check It COVID-19 test kit
- Mesa biotech — Rapid PCR
- PCR Solutions (available; catalog available upon request)
If you want to strategize a testing plan, bttn. can work with an organization of any size on a deeper level to develop a plan.
bttn. has a limited supply of tests available for immediate purchase on its website. For larger requests, reach out to bttn.’s Julianna Gordon at (775) 636-4542 or julianna.gordon@bttnusa.com.
