California Congressional Action Program Runs May 7-10 in D.C.
Despite the recent failure of the majority party’s health care bill in Congress, efforts to alter or transform the Affordable Care Act are expected to continue. Working with California Hospital Association, the Regional Associations, including HASC, remain focused on advocacy for a framework that supports hospital operations on a sustainable basis.
The political uncertainty makes advocacy efforts like the California Congressional Action Program, taking place this May in Washington, D.C., critically important. In additional to its focus on political action, the event provides an opportunity to network with health care leaders from across the country at the concurrent American Hospital Association’s Annual Membership Meeting. Separate registration is required for the latter event, however.
“We must work together with Congressional representatives and the new administration to support optimal coverage for all Californians,” CHA said in a recent event announcement. “Join your peers and health leaders from across the nation for this federal advocacy event.”
