Call for Presentations: HASC Annual Meeting,
April 5-7, Bacara Resort & Spa, Santa Barbara
In planning the HASC Annual Meeting each year, the association looks to members to share innovative ideas and models for conference breakout sessions. According to members, the most meaningful education comes from this type of peer-to-peer learning. Members are invited to submit applications to present their hospital’s innovative projects at the 2017 event.
“We’re looking for leading-edge ideas that inspire discussions, encourage engagement and promote learning,” said Pat Wall, vice president of membership and education services. “Specifically, we’d like to showcase replicable models in areas of interest to CEOs, executive teams, physician leaders and trustees.”
Possible areas of focus include:
- Clinical improvement
- Quality and patient safety
- Throughput, efficiency, scaling up to improve cost-effectiveness
- Finance
- Population health
- Effective use of technology
- Addressing health disparities
- Person-Centered Care/patient satisfaction
- Engaging the workforce and advancing work satisfaction
- Sustaining change
Session specifications:
- Provide a high-quality, 50-minute educational presentation with a focus on a C-Suite audience followed by a 20-minute discussion, question and answer
- Engage attendees through audience participation and discussion
- Discuss the successes and challenges presented by your project
- Ensure that the session is not perceived as an infomercial or sales presentation.
Please complete this fillable form and submit by Friday, Jan. 27 to Pat Wall, vice president of membership and education services.
Breakout sessions will take place Thursday afternoon, April 6.
