CDIP Internship Participation Deadline Is March 1
The College to Career Diversity Internship Program (CDIP) is a 10-week summer internship that brings diverse fourth-year college students and recent graduates to hospitals to complete significant projects that benefit and boost facilities. The participation deadline was recently extended to Monday, March 1.
CDIP supports HASC member hospitals to:
- Advance equity in hiring and leadership
- Ensure that the workforce and leadership is reflective of the communities they serve
- Serve as a resource to support the local talent pipeline.
CDIP is now recruiting participant organizations for 2021. To host a CDIP intern, please complete the Summer Internship Host Interest Form by March 1, 2021.
HASC in partnership with Health Career Connection (HCC) is excited to report that last summer, amid the pandemic, Huntington Hospital, its affiliate Huntington Health Physicians, and one associate member, MedPOINT Management, hosted eight interns. The interns worked in ambulatory care, community outreach, nursing administration, surgical services, case management and quality management departments. HCC transitioned its professional development classes to online, and our member host sites adjusted their assignments as needed to remotely incorporate interns into the new workplace culture.
Following the internship assignments, we are happy to report that one intern was hired part-time — at Huntington Health Physicians!
