CHPAC Campaign Needs Your Support in Push to Meet Goal During Critical Year for Hospitals
CHPAC is the political arm of the California Hospital Association. The purpose of CHPAC is to help elect candidates who understand the vital role hospitals play in our state as a part of the health care system and the positive impact hospitals have on the economy.
The 2017-18 election cycle will be one of the busiest we’ve seen in recent years. Tens of millions of dollars are being and will continue to be spent by both business and labor interests. Every contribution CHPAC receives is spent very thoughtfully in order to garner the most impact out of your generous contribution.
Hospitals and health systems will have a critical year with a staggering number of challenges facing the industry. It is imperative to foster and maintain relationships with those who demonstrate support for our member hospitals. We also have a responsibility to educate those who might be unfamiliar with our unique challenges. Together we can make the best decisions when supporting our legislators.
There is still time to contribute to CHPAC to help the HASC region reach its goal of $357,200. As of this mailing, we need an additional $72,123 to meet this goal.
You can help us meet our goal by doing the following:
- If you have not yet made a personal contribution to CHPAC at the President’s or Diamond Club Level, please do so today. Our goal is to achieve 100 percent member participation.
- Appoint a CHPAC Campaign Coordinator to be a contact with our staff to reach out to your senior team members in support of CHPAC. It’s easy — we will do all the work to meet legal requirements.
- Provide Jennifer Bayer (contact information below) with the name of a vendor that we can approach about becoming a CHPAC Corporate Partner.
- Encourage other CEOs throughout your system to join CHPAC.
- Attend CHPAC events in your local area.
A pledge form is attached, or you can contribute online at www.calhospital.org/chpac.
