CLC Summary Shares Year’s Accomplishments
HASC’s Communities Lifting Communities is proud to share a comprehensive 2019-2020 value statement with association members — and with the community.
The past 12 months have seen HASC’s community health initiative notch a range of significant accomplishments. They include the Cherished Futures for Black Moms & Babies collaborative, a SB 1152-compliant weather-appropriate clothing marketplace, the sharing of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion resources, the compilation of COVID-19 pandemic response lessons learned, and more.
CLC Executive Director Susan Harrington also underlined the successful presentation of multiple Alignment of Governance and Leadership in Healthcare: Building Momentum for Transformation seminars. Designed for organization boards and C-Suite members, the sessions have presented strategies for implementing successful population health strategies to multiple hospitals and systems.
“The work we did to create and support partnerships between hospitals, public health departments and other stakeholders to advance community health continues to bear fruit,” Harrington said. ”Similarly, our focus on leadership education to build knowledge and understanding of population health improvement strategies continues to engage diverse stakeholders in addressing the social determinants of health.”
Looking ahead to 2021 and beyond, CLC is transitioning to a new organizational status as a nonprofit HASC charitable affiliate.
