Collaborative Effort Offers $25,000 Grants for L.A. County Workforce Programs
HASC is pleased to announce that it has secured grant funding from the South Bay Workforce Investment Board (SBWIB), the Los Angeles Basin Region’s Workforce Development Boards, and Anthem Blue Cross to support two RN Specialty Training collaborative projects this year.
Nursing schools and hospitals that are working together as collaboratives in the L.A. area are invited to apply for funds. To qualify, each program should be developing or expanding either a Peri-Operative or Critical Care course, have curriculum completed by July 1 and be ready to conduct the course in the 2018 fall semester.
Two collaboratives will be identified to receive $25,000 each. Funding must be used to pay for (or offset) course registration fees.
Please download the RN Specialty Collaborative letter (below) for additional information. A list of goals is also available.
Collaboratives interested in being considered for funding should contact Lisa Mitchell, HASC workforce development program manager, by Wednesday, March 28.
