Weeks after observing its fourth birthday, HASC’s Communities Lifting Communities community health initiative will be recognized at this month’s Los Angeles Business Journal Health Care Leadership Panel & Awards event.

Communities Lifting Communities, or CLC, is nominated in the Outstanding Community Outreach category. 

CLC is known for its Cherished Futures for Black Moms & Babies program, among other work and initiatives.

“Now more than ever, it is important to recognize, not only first responders, but the leaders and teams who are running these health care organizations and making key decisions to help improve our communities,” the awards announcement states.

Winners are selected by a panel of area health care leaders — including Precious Mayes, President/CEO at Pacifica Hospital of the Valley and chair of HASC’s Hospital Operations Committee. Other panelists include OneLegacy’s Tom Mone and Providence Southern California Chief Executive Kevin Manemann.
