Dates Revised for Critical Care Nursing Course
Glendale Community College’s Critical Care Specialty Nursing course has new dates this summer. The course is now scheduled for June 16 through Aug. 18 — and will take place on Tuesdays instead of Wednesdays. Click below to register — you may also download a course flier below.
The GCC RN specialty training is available for hospitals to prepare RNs with one year of experience in medical-surgical care, telemetry or on a stepdown unit within the last two years — or with recommendation from their current hospital employer. Applicants should meet with their hospital’s nursing leadership to determine their support for providing a clinical practicum or preceptor and any work schedule adjustments prior to enrolling in the course.
Glendale Community College:
- The 10-week course runs June 16 – Aug. 18 and is open to all licensed Registered Nurses.
- This is a Critical Care Course for intensive patient care in an ICU, not a general medical-surgical nursing refresher course.
- The $275 class fee is refundable to student/hospital upon completion of the course and return of books.
- 76 Continuing Education hours and EKG Certification are available.
EKG and ACLS Preparation Highly Recommended
