Diversity Data Service Powers AB 962 Compliance
HASC and Communities Lifting Communities (CLC) are partnering with Diversity Information Resources (DIR) to help member hospitals manage diversity information for vendors and business partners. New legislation connected to AB 962 requires hospitals to annually submit a report on efforts to diversify business partners with minority-owned, woman-owned, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT), and disabled veteran-owned business enterprises.
DIR’s data scrubbing and validation service lets member hospitals classify their current suppliers into categories and accurately analyze, and report spending. (Data scrubbing refers to the error-correction process that organizes and formats data for various applications.)
To participate in the service, member hospitals first sign a formal participation agreement. Facilities and systems then submit required information directly to DIR. Once data is submitted, the estimated turnaround time is 7-14 business days.
To request your participation agreement and start the process, contact CLC Program Director Karen Ochoa.
