Karen Ochoa is CLC’s first project manager. Ochoa has worked for HASC for over 14 years and most recently served as education manager for the association’s human resources services department.
Communities Lifting Communities, or CLC, is a public health initiative founded by HASC, HC2 Strategies and the Public Health Alliance of Southern California. The partners created CLC to build a bridge between the health care delivery system and public health to improve community health and reduce health disparities.
CLC will work to align HASC member hospitals, public health departments and community efforts to reduce health disparities in three key focus areas including: diabetes, homelessness and pre-term birth outcomes in targeted regions across Southern California.
