HASC Shares Second Don’t Delay Care Toolkit
After HASC launched its original Do Not Delay Care campaign in November, hospitals and clinics saw non-COVID-19 patients return to hospitals to schedule procedures and seek care. As winter’s surge filled hospital EDs and ICUs, however, a wave of fear once again kept patients away.
Delaying care is concerning for emergencies, such as heart attacks and strokes, and for preventative medicine and screening procedures, like mammograms and colonoscopies. The results, several surveys suggest, are reduced rates of early detection for cancer and other serious conditions and increased damage from chronic conditions like hypertension and diabetes.
Hospitals and medical practices have also seen revenue reduced by the trend. While patient outcomes are the first concern, these numbers are hard to ignore for almost all health care providers.
HASC’s new Do Not Delay Care – 2021 Communications Toolkit contains preformatted messages ready for release via multiple channels and social platforms. The purpose of the toolkit is to decrease care avoidance by communicating accurate information about the safety of visiting hospitals and clinics and the advantages of screening and prompt treatment.
We’ve taken care of the content. All you need to do is share it with your audience via your social media platforms.
Download the pdf toolkit here. A HASC web page with additional information is here.
By acting together, we can magnify the message and reach many more individuals.
