HASC welcomes President Douglas Kleam to St. Bernardine Medical Center in San Bernardino and CEO Nelson Smith to Pacific Grove Hospital in Riverside.

Douglas Kleam is President at St. Bernardine Medical Center. He recently served as administrator and chief operating officer at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center and has served as chief operating officer at Daughters of Charity and St. Vincent Medical Center. Kleam holds an MBA from the University of Redlands and a BS in business administration from Cal State Bakersfield.

Nelson Smith is CEO at Pacific Grove Hospital. He brings leadership and management experience from 20 years of service as a U.S. Army Green Beret, with more than seven combat deployments and numerous global engagements. Smith is the recipient of a Purple Heart and four Bronze Stars and is also a graduate of Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
