HSS: Preventing Assault on Health Care Workers

March 12, 2021

HASC Endorsed Business Partner HSS offers a series of eLearning programs that can help prevent workplace violence. Unfortunately, statistics show that close to half of all workplace violence victims are health care employees.

Patient and visitor-initiated violence is the number one security challenge facing healthcare administrators today, and the problem is only getting worse. Over the past year, COVID-19 and overutilization of hospitals is making training and safety a higher priority than ever before.

Everyone in today’s health care environment needs to recognize the signs and be able to respond effectively to aggression in the workplace. However, staffing requirements limits the ability to train all employers at the same time at on offsite location.

Take a few minutes to explore how eLearning from HSS bridges the gap.

The eLearning component of HSS’s award-winning TEAM® (Techniques for Effective Aggression Management) course makes high-quality learning more efficient and effective than ever before. HSS utilizes:

  • High-quality video training segments
  • Real-time simulation modules
  • Real-life health care case studies to engage your staff in learning

It’s a highly interactive experience that fits any schedule, is available to anyone on your staff, and is available from anywhere.

Online learning is part of the complete portfolio of TEAM training programs for hospital and health care facility workplace violence prevention – which also includes Train the Trainer and Instructor-Led courses designed specifically for medical staff in high-risk environments.

Contact HSS’s Seth Karnes at skarnes@hss-us.com or (844) 477-7781 for more on the programs.

With additional questions, or for more on the HASC’s Endorsed Business Partner program, please contact HASC Member Relations and Association Services Director Darryl Sanford.
