Internship Program Open to IE, OC Members
Dear Inland Empire and Orange County Member Hospitals:
HASC’s College to Career Diversity Internship Program (CDIP) project-based summer internship program in partnership with Health Career Connection (HCC) has 10 Inland Empire and three Orange County candidates ready to be placed by June 30. Internships are for 10 consecutive weeks beginning by July 8 and ending by Sept. 13. The attached fact sheet provides a brief overview and highlights candidate skills that match with hospital projects and needs.
CDIP intern placement is straightforward and cost-efficient:
a) Select a robust project for the intern.
b) Interview two (2) candidates per internship offered and select a match.
c) Work-based stipend ($4,000 out of $6,900 cost) is paid to intern in three (3) installments through the 10-week assignment.
d) Interns are not employees, but will receive a 1099 tax form, as the stipend is disbursed by HCC.
