Introducing California’s Homeless Guardians
An exciting communications campaign created by our partners at the California Hospital Association and the Our Health California digital community spotlights the positive work of hospitals to support the area’s homeless population. A new campaign, called Homeless Guardians, shares stories that underline the moving and very critical work hospitals do for our society’s most vulnerable. It’s a four-part photo essay with accompanying writeups featuring real people from Los Angeles, San Francisco, Sacramento and San Diego.
The campaign is fashioned by the Washington, D.C.-based Statler Nagle communications firm to reinforce the positive impression many Californians have of their hospitals. We invite you to take a few minutes to view the Los Angeles story posted recently on the role Adventist Health White Memorial plays in the life of a homeless man in Boyle Heights. You’ll see how telling the story of real people may be the most effective way to communicate and connect with our fellow Californians about the positive work hospitals accomplish.
As you read and view the photographs, keep in mind that we all have important stories to tell — about our own work and the work of our members.
