L.A. County Workshop Focuses On
Operational Resiliency, Cyber Threats
Los Angeles County Department of Health Services will present a no-cost Healthcare Continuity & Recovery workshop and tabletop exercise on Thursday, Feb. 2. The session is focused on cyber-attack preparedness.
The workshop also addresses the Hospital Preparedness Program (HPP) requirement in the 2016 Statement of Work, which requires program grant recipients to evaluate at least one business continuity planning (BCP) methodology via a stand-alone exercise or incorporated into the annual Statewide Medical and Health Exercise.
The event is designed for area HPP participants, clinics and umbrella hospitals, specifically for senior management and executive staff. Continental breakfast is included.
The session runs from 8 to 11 a.m. at PIH Health Hospital in Whittier. It takes place in the facility’s lower level conference room auditorium at 12401 Washington Blvd., Whittier, CA 90602.
A second session from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. will train participants to facilitate a tabletop workshop exercise.
