LEAD Academy Goes to Interactive Remote Access Format — Learn More at Dec. 18 Webinar

December 15, 2020

HASC’s long-running LEAD Academy leadership training series will be presented electronically in 2021 — offering students easy-to-digest two-hour sessions in the comfort of their own homes. The synchronous e-learning program is part of HASC’s ongoing workforce support initiative as the pandemic continues to make staffing a priority for members.

LEAD’s new format is live and interactive — giving students the chance to ask questions and practice skills. The complete Academy is presented via 12 two-hour modules. Tuition for each module, or session, is $162 – $1,944 for the full Academy.

LEAD Academy students formerly attended six all-day sessions. With the new format, students will log on for a convenient set of sessions scheduled throughout 2021.

A no-cost webinar from noon to 12:45 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 18 will outline details of the 2021 LEAD Academy series. Click here today to reserve your place!

Read more details about the program, including a detailed syllabus, via a downloadable pdf brochure available here or below.

LEAD Academy is an intensive training that uses tools and experiential learning to empower recently hired, newly appointed or previously untrained health care leaders to better understand and use their strengths. Designed for health care supervisors and managers, LEAD is built on the underlying principle that effective leadership requires productive relationships to support excellence in patient care, sustainable business objectives and a safe patient environment.

LEAD Academy provides a safe environment to practice newly learned skills and align work goals and actions to support the broader vision of the organization. Engaging activities guide participants through the process of understanding different leadership styles and overcoming the distinct challenges of being a leader. Specific program focus areas include:

  • Self-development
  • Supporting the development of others
  • Managing and developing a successful organization
