The Hospital Association of Southern California (HASC), announces that two RN Specialty training courses are available at no cost for Los Angeles County hospitals to prepare experienced RNs transitioning to new roles in peri-operative nursing. HASC selected two nursing schools, Azusa Pacific University (APU) and Mount Saint Mary’s University (MSMU), which are offering peri-operative RN specialty courses in summer and fall 2018.

The funding has been made available to HASC by the South Bay Workforce Investment Board (SBWIB) and the Los Angeles Basin Region’s Workforce Development Boards to pilot the first cohorts in this collaborative model between Los Angeles hospitals and nursing schools.
