LoVLA Initiative Offers PPE at Cost
Over the past year, through supply chain optimization and city purchasing expertise, Logistics Victory LA (LoVLA), an initiative of the City of Los Angeles, provided hospitals, first responders and other health care organizations an opportunity to purchase personal protective equipment (PPE) from the City of Los Angeles at cost.
In total, LoVLA distributed more than 9 million units of PPE to 245 health care organizations responding to the COVID-19 pandemic in Southern California.
Now, as different sectors of the economy reopen or increase capacity to their existing operations, LoVLA is offering its PPE inventory to any interested business or organization.
Available items include:
- N-95 masks manufactured by Honeywell and 3M
- Nitrile exam gloves
- Disinfectant wipes
- Protective gowns and headcovers
See the attached flier (link below) for more on items and pricing.
Under the program, interested organizations request PPE from the LoVLA inventory. Payment must be provided up front. After the payment clears, the customer is notified that requested items are available to pick up at a city warehouse in the Port of L.A. complex (San Pedro/Wilmington area).
