MCAG and HASC would like to provide an update regarding the status of enrolled hospitals and upcoming settlement payments. Over 80 HASC hospitals have enrolled in the Settlement Recovery Service since January of 2016. Depending on when your hospital enrolled in the service, there may be up to four settlements filed on behalf of your organization.

Settlements will typically pay out within 12-18 months of the filing deadline. Many hospitals participated in the Polyurethane Foam Settlement back in February of 2016. Therefore, the first round of payments could come as early as the second quarter of 2017. 

Over the next nine months, a host of additional settlements will also be offered to HASC members, each which will provide an opportunity for cash recoveries to hospitals.  MCAG will continue to file into all eligible settlements for enrolled hospitals. Additional information on the upcoming settlements will be provided over the next few months.
